My Coaching Journey

Wines to Whales Training

My journey as a cyclist started as early as 1998. Growing up on the doorstep of some of the earliest purpose built mountain bike trails in the Western Cape developed a burning desire to race my bike as fast as possible. This passion lead to my first World Championship in France in 2004, paving the way to even bigger dreams and a 10 year long professional career which included 15 World Cup starts, 3 National Series overall wins, 4 World Championship starts, and 2 Wines to Whales overall wins. My journey into coaching in 2014 felt natural, as it has always given me a great joy to share my knowledge with others to help them achieve their own goals.

I have had the privilege over the years to work and gain knowledge from some of the sports top coaches, and recently had the honour of one of my athletes qualifying for the Commonwealth Games at the Gold Coast, Australia 2018.
